Ethics & Welfare

At Kitsune Dog Training, the welfare of your dog is my top priority. I am committed to using only force-free, ethical, and science-based training methods. I do not use, recommend, or permit the use of aversive tools or techniques, including but not limited to:

  • Slip leads (used as correction tools)

  • Prong collars

  • Electric collars (e-collars/shock collars)

  • Choke chains or half-check collars

If you choose to work with me, you must agree not to use any aversive tools or methods during or outside our sessions. Continued use may not only compromise your dog’s emotional well-being but also significantly hinder progress.

Please note:
Use of aversive tools will result in the immediate termination of all future sessions, with no refunds issued.

Booking & Payment
  • A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to secure your session. This ensures appointment slots are honoured and allows others the opportunity to book.

  • The remaining balance must be paid 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment.

  • To reschedule, please provide at least 48 hours' notice. Cancellations or reschedules outside of this timeframe may result in forfeiture of the session and payment.

Once your deposit is received, you will receive a pre-session questionnaire. This must be completed at least 48 hours before our session so I can prepare a personalised plan and bring any necessary equipment.

🐾 Preparation is key — it sets us up for success!

Travel & Mileage
  • Travel within a 10-mile radius of Winsford is included.

  • Travel beyond this will incur a mileage fee of £0.50 per mile, calculated as a round trip.

Data Protection (GDPR)

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

  • All client data is securely stored on password- and fingerprint-protected digital devices under my sole control.

  • Your personal details will never be shared with third parties without your explicit consent.

  • I do not send marketing emails or unsolicited communications.

  • You are in full control of your data and can request deletion or access at any time.

Client records are securely deleted after 24 months of inactivity or when services are no longer required. This includes the shredding of paper documents and permanent deletion of digital records.

Referrals to Other Professionals

Should your dog present behavioural concerns that require medical or specialist intervention, I may recommend working with a clinical animal behaviourist.

I’m happy to help with referrals and will continue to support you in safely managing your dog’s behaviour until specialist support becomes available.

Insurance & Certification
  • Kitsune Dog Training holds full liability insurance for all services offered.

  • I am certified in CPD Canine First Aid, ensuring your dog’s safety remains a priority at all times.
